Acceptable Use Policy

1. No Commercial Use

KinSwaps is for casual, noncommercial exchange between neighbors. The following are prohibited:

• Operating a business or self-employed trade through the platform.
• Exchanging anything for money, or for profit.
• Advertising, soliciting, dropshipping, resale-for-gain, or multi-level-marketing activity.

2. Prohibited Items & Trades

You may not list, trade, or solicit:

• Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or regulated weapon parts.
• Alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, controlled substances, or prescription drugs and medical/medication items.
• Meat, poultry, dairy, eggs, and other foods regulated at the federal level (USDA/FSIS), and potentially hazardous or processed homemade foods (foods needing refrigeration, canned goods, and items restricted by your state’s cottage-food laws). Raw whole produce from your own garden is generally fine; when in doubt, do not trade it.
• Live animals where prohibited, hazardous materials, stolen or counterfeit goods, recalled products, or anything illegal to possess or transfer.
• Personal data, accounts, or anything you do not have the right to trade.

3. Prohibited Conduct

• Fraud, scams, misrepresentation, or impersonation.
• Harassment, hate speech, threats, or violence.
• Spam, scraping, or attempts to disrupt or compromise the service.
• Posting another person’s private information.
• Misusing the emergency or community-safety features.

4. Reporting & Enforcement

If you see something that violates this Policy, please report it through the app. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion. We reserve the right, but assume no obligation, to monitor activity on the platform.
