This Privacy Policy explains how KinSwaps LLC(“KinSwaps”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the platform. KinSwaps is intended for users in the United States.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, and phone number (used for sign-in and SMS verification).
- Location: your selected rural county and, if you choose, a precise street address you provide. Address entry is optional; it is used only to place your own pin on your map and is not shown publicly.
- Profile content: bio, skills, specialties, associations, photo, listings, messages, and posts you create.
- Usage & device data: basic technical and interaction data needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How We Use Information
To provide and improve the service: connect you with nearby community members, show relevant listings, send notifications you opt into, verify your phone number, prevent abuse, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Share Information
- With other users: your public profile (name, photo, county, bio, skills, specialties, associations) and your listings. Your email, phone number, and exact address are not shown to other users.
- With service providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database/auth/storage), Vercel (hosting), Google Maps Platform (maps and address geocoding), Twilio (SMS), and Freemius (payments).
- For legal reasons: to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the platform.
4. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA, and Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of it. We do not sell personal information. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings, or contact us to exercise these rights.
5. Children
KinSwaps is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 to use it, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
6. Data Security & Retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information and retain it only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. No system is perfectly secure.

We may update this Policy and will post the updated version here with a new date.
